For many of us who write, the ultimate dream is to see our pages in print. Something we can hold in our hands and give to others.
A few years ago, publishing meant finding an agent and submitting heavy manuscripts to the big publishers. And, if you were an unknown or new author, you mostly found rejection slips in the mail. Sigh.
Today, the publishing scene had changed…radically! We are so fortunate to have control of getting our work out there by self-publishing. And, we are in good company. Edgar Allen Poe, Mark Twain, William Strunk, Stephen King, and L. Frank Baum and many more, all self-published at some point.

It was a great adventure to write and design my first book: a little 60 page memoir with a self-help twist. Its subject matter is unconventional, and
it is written by someone with no credibility except personal experience.
After facing reality that no big house would touch a book like mine, the decision was easy. Let’s self-publish!
Upon researching and talking to some very reputable self-publishing companies who offered to assist me by editing, producing, and distributing my book, I realized I knew too much. My extensive background in production, graphic design and other aspects of the print world, made it easy to decide
to start an indie publishing company of my own.

Inside Stories, my small indie publishing company, has a specific niche. It focuses on human interest stories or subject matter that educates, inspires or transforms us.
